COMMUNITY SUPPORT NCCS has two very important areas in which the community is able to be involved in supporting our school. 1. SERVICE AREAS Nelson Christian Community School operates with the help of numerous volunteers. We have a variety of jobs that are done by the help of committed individuals who have an interest in the vision and ministry of the school. Below is just a small example of the many areas that need volunteers to serve in our school: • Indoor and outdoor facility maintenance • Recess and lunch supervision • Classroom volunteers • Office workers • Chapel speakers • Christmas production helpers Speak to the Board, Principal or teachers of the school to find out how you can be involved. 2. CHARITABLE DONATIONS • Donations to the school’s general operation • Donations to the school’s Sponsorship Program. Many families desire to send their children to the school but simply cannot afford the tuition cost. Because Independent Schools only receive half of the funding of public schools, the school must charge a minimal tuition and registration fee. Sponsoring a child to go to school is an excellent way to support the school. The cost for one student to go to school is $150 per month. All donations to the school will be tax-receipted.
