Nelson Christian Community School has its roots in Imago Dei Christian Classical School, which started in 1997 in Nelson. In 2003, the Society changed the school’s name, bylaws, location and adopted a revised curriculum. Nelson Christian Community School is now located at the beautiful Selkirk College Campus and employs educational staff that hold B.C. teaching certificates issued by the Ministry of Education. NCCS obtained a Group 1 classification, the highest under the Independent School Act and has successfully completed an excellent three years of being a fully funded Independent School. Our curriculum meets all B.C. Ministry of Education requirements and is on file with the Ministry of Education in Victoria. We are growing and are excited about continuing to provide a biblically integrated education to serve the community of Nelson and area.

Our Superintendent, Dr. Bill Wilson, Ph.D., is an ordained pastor and has thirty years of experience in the field of education.
